Meet Dr. Mai
Dr. Maiza Tusimin is a Senior Consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist with 25 years of clinical, academic and leadership experience in women’s healthcare. Currently practicing at Prince Court Medical Centre and as a Visiting Consultant at Sophea Fertility Centre, she manages a high-volume clinical practice encompassing deliveries, surgery, IVF and complex women’s health care.
Her work focuses on integrating reproductive, hormonal and metabolic care, addressing the growing burden of obesity, PCOS, fertility challenges and midlife health issues in women.
Dr. Mai is widely recognised for translating clinical evidence into practical, real-world strategies that improve patient outcomes and support everyday clinical decision-making. She is dedicated to caring for women through every stage of life, combining trusted medical expertise with deep, personal compassion.

A Pioneer’s Journey:
Forging a Medical Legacy
Every great legacy has a beginning. For Dr. Maiza Tusimin, that journey started in August 1996 as a proud member of the inaugural batch of medical students at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
The path of a pioneer is never easy. The foundation year began with just three dedicated professors – Dr. Nusrat, Dr. Mumtaz, and Dr. Naseem; guiding a small, tight-knit group of bright-eyed students. From character-building days at the Outward Bound School (OBS) in Lumut to countless hours of rigorous clinical study, this pioneer group was forged through resilience, deep camaraderie, and a shared vision to heal.
In July 2001, they made history as UPM’s graduan sulung (first-ever medical graduates), stepping into the field as true trailblazers.
Now, as the pioneer batch celebrates their Silver Jubilee in July 2026, marking exactly 25 years of medical excellence, Dr. Mai reflects on the humble foundations that shaped her. It was here that her deep-rooted commitment to serving the community and her lifelong dedication to women’s healthcare truly began.
