In celebration of International Women’s Day, Dr. Maiza Tusimin was honored to be invited as an expert panelist for a meaningful wellness event hosted by Prince Court Medical Centre in collaboration with the Embassy of the Philippines.
The special session, titled “Hormonal Health Matters: Understanding Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and Women’s Wellness,” aimed to demystify a complex condition that affects millions of women globally yet remains widely misunderstood.
Moderated by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Nora Mohammad, Dr. Mai was joined on stage by Consultant Endocrinologist Dr. Malathi Karupiah. Together, they shared clinical insights on the intricacies of hormonal health, the physical and emotional impact of PCOS, and the critical importance of early diagnosis and proactive care.
The event was a beautiful reflection of a shared commitment to advancing health awareness, graced by Her Excellency Maria Angela Ponce, Ambassador of the Philippines, and Ms. Tan Sok Kheng, Chief Executive Officer of Prince Court Medical Centre. Beyond the dialogue, attendees from the Filipino community were also able to take proactive steps toward their well-being through on-site basic health screenings.
As Her Excellency Maria Angela Ponce aptly noted during the event, empowering women with knowledge is the very first step toward helping them take charge of their health and their futures. We are incredibly proud to champion these vital conversations.
